You are in the process of completing this step now. Remember, you can stop now and enroll in HD 198O, Orientation to College, and earn half a unit of college credit while completing this component.
The following applicants are exempted from completing orientation:
Students who have earned an Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Students who enroll in less than 12 units and have one of the following educational goals:
Advancement in their current job/career (upgrade job skills);
Maintain a certificate or license (e.g., nursing, real estate);
Personal development (intellectual, cultural, recreational);
Students who have been admitted to another college or university and are attending AVC concurrently.
If you meet any of these conditions you do not need to continue with this orientation. Be prepared to provide documentation of which condition(s) you meet to qualify for the exemption at the time you register.
