In choosing an academic program it is important to have a career goal in mind. You may have only a vague idea of a career at this point, or none at all. In this case, you will want to use the services of the Career Center off the lobby of the Student Services Center. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the Career Center when you review the support services available at AVC.
If you have a career goal in mind, your next step is to determine whether that career requires a vocational certificate, an Associate’s degree or a Bachelor’s degree or higher. This information is available in the Career Center (SSV 101). No appointment is necessary in that office. You may also want to see a counselor to help you make a career decision.
