After you have applied, you will need to participate in the assessment process. Assessment is one of the Matriculation components that helps students get priority registration. Visit the Assessment Center webpage. It contains all the information about the Assessment Test, including when you can take the test and study guides. After you take the test and receive your scores, talk with a counselor about the appropriate classes that you can register for.
Students have the right to waive the English, Math and Readion placement assessment (test. This will require you to begin at the lowest level of English and math unliss you can show through the College's Prerequisite Challenge Process that you have sufficient knowledge of English or math to meet the pre or co-requisite required for the courese in which you wish to enroll. You will also need to complete the lowest level reading course to meet the reading proficiency requirement for graduation.
