AVC offers an English as a Second Language (ESL) placement test. The ESL assessment includes three sections: Grammar/Usage, Reading, and Listening. Non-native English speaking students are encouraged to take the ESL assessment to determine initial course placement. ESL courses are designed for students who want to improve their English grammar, conversation, vocabulary, and composition skills.
