DSS Mission Statement
The mission statement for the DSS program will be to provide disabled students equal access to education by providing quality support services that directly relate to a student's limitations as a result of their disability; assist students with their understanding and acceptance of their limitations as a result of their disability; foster independence by helping students to articulate their needs to AVC instructors and staff; and contribute to the educational success of all students with disabilities on the AVC campus.
