This program will familiarize you with the public school system, its educational requirements and proven techniques to assist students in a specialized classroom setting as a paraprofessional instructional aide.

What will I learn?

By completing the instructional aide certificate, you will have the opportunity to study various learning styles and strategies to enhance a student’s learning based on their particular method of retaining information. The curriculum requirements and procedures of the public school system will be covered, as well as strategies with behavioral management and classroom dynamics.

What kinds of classes are offered?

Courses in education, psychology, computer skills are required and paired with electives to fulfill the 24-unit requirement.
