Corporate & Community Services: EMT-1 Refresher Course

This 28-hour course reviews life support measures, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as recommended by the American Heart Association, and use of emergency medical equipment and supplies. Refresher course approved by the Los Angeles county EMS Agency. To certify as an EMT-1 after completing this course, students are required to take the county certification exam to receive state certification. Instructor Lance Hodge is a licensed paramedic and instructs the Antelope Valley College EMT-1 program.

Prerequisite: EMT-1 certificate has not been expired more than four years.
