Professional Development Courses: Mediation as a Second Career

This course is for retired persons or those contemplating retirement or a career change. Also, persons who want to enhance their current professional skills, or who are attracted to legal and/or humanitarian work will find this course interesting and helpful. Learn whether mediation is a good fit for you and whether you can make a living as a mediator. Mediation training, career and volunteer opportunities, marketing, and how to find work will be covered.
Fee: $35   (Material Fee: $3 at class)

Note: Individual classes in the mediation program may be taken for personal or professional development* only. However, to achieve the 40-hour Mediator Certificate of Completion, all five classes in the series must be completed. There are no prerequisites, but it is recommended that classes be taken in sequence, if possible. Any class may be cancelled for under-enrollment (fewer than 10); therefore, it is recommended that certificate seekers register at least two weeks prior to the first class meeting. Classes will be closed (capped) at 20 enrollees. Questions or comments may be directed to the instructor, Linda Hughes, at lahughes48@aol.com or at www.lahughes.com
