Campus Construction Projects: Campus Road Project

It was determined during the facilities master planning process that access to the north side of the Lancaster campus was a critical milestone for completing future projects. The Campus Road Project completed the widening of Avenue J-8 from 32nd Street West to 30th Street West. An interior services road that provides sites as well as improved circulation around the northwest quadrant of the campus was also completed. Significant safety improvements resulted from the project for both the campus and the immediate neighborhood. The installation of street lighting, pedestrian lighting directional signage and sidewalks have significantly improved the safety and access around the north side of the campus. The City of Lancaster provided a significant contribution toward the completion of the Avenue J-8 work.
