- Student Address Verification (Summer 2009)
Currently, students can update their email and home addresses through myAVC, but are not required to do so. Today, many students have incorrect addresses in our records, so we cannot send them refund or financial aid checks, or inform them of pertinent information regarding their enrollment here at the college.
ITS is working to implement a new web page that students would visit as part of the class registration process. This page would allow registerring students to update their information before registering for class, keeping our records up to date.
- CCCApply Update (Fall 2009)
AVC uses the CCCApply service to allow community members to electronically apply for enrollment. Recently, the state implemented new rules regarding the infomation collected at the time of a person's application, and ITS is working to implement these required changes into the application process.
- Banner Cal-B (Oct. 2009)
Banner, a SunGard Higher Education product, is the district's student information system and contains all student records and registration data since 1999. Banner provides the district with the information required to schedule classes, facilitates registration, and provides transcripts and many more services to students.
The Banner Cal-B upgrade will significantly enhance the ability of the district to provide services to students, prepare for and process registration and produce required state and federal reports.
