The growth in residential and commercial development throughout the Antelope Valley has fueled the demand for agriculture and landscape courses. A new complex of agriculture labs and greenhouses will provide the instructional space to meet the forecasted growth of these programs. The new facility will provide two state-of-the-art classrooms with prep space and faculty offices. A lathe house, four greenhouses, and covered storage areas provide a total of 11,012 square feet of building and covered space. A large project demonstration garden will be used for group projects and other instructional activities. In addition, a new arboretum and fruit orchard area will be established along the north campus perimeter road near Entrance L. The newly established arboretum and orchard was designed not only as an instructional area but also as a green buffer zone between the adjacent residential area and the North Parking Lot. Relocating the Agriculture/Landscape programs to the new facility will allow the old and inadequate facilities to be demolished in time for the construction of the new 96,000-square-foot Health and Science Building which will be constructed in the same area.

| Current classes use facilities that were built decades ago. Although maintained through the years, these buildings have exceeded their life expectancy and the new greenhouses and yard buildings, totaling 11,012-square-feet will better serve Antelope Valley College's growing student population. Currently there are 3 greenhouses and containers for storing tools and equipment. Current building space measures 3,600 square feet.
