Proposed site on 25th Street East south of Pearblossom Highway

The purchase of approximately 60 acres in south Palmdale for a new college campus was completed in February 2008. The new site, located on 25th Street East north of Pearblossom Highway, will provide easily accessible higher education opportunities and job training courses to Palmdale and other south valley residents. The purchase of the new campus property, made possible with Measure R funding, completes a significant milestone toward establishing the only comprehensive college in Palmdale. State funding is not provided for the purchase of property, however, the state requires that a district own property before any funding proposals are considered to construct the first building or required infrastructure.

During 2007 an updated Educational Master Plan was completed. The Educational Master Plan provides the road map for future programs to be offered at the new Palmdale Campus. Programs will be offered from every college division and meet the many needs of the community including transfer courses required for meeting four-year college and university requirements, career and technical education programs and a multitude of opportunities that addresses the needs of the diverse population of the south valley.
