IMPORTANT SAFETY RELATED INFORMATION
The following procedures regarding activity on district construction sites are to be adhered to by all district employees and representatives.
ONLY AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ARE ALLOWED ON A CONSTRUCTION SITE. The following procedure will be followed by all non-construction personnel:
Request for construction site access is submitted to the Director of Facilities Planning & Campus Development by email or memorandum. Each request must provide the following:
- Name of each person accessing site.
- Date and time period to access the site.
- Describe which site is to be accessed and purpose of site access.
Construction site access review completed by Director of Facilities Planning & Campus Development confirmed by email to Program Construction Manager and requestor(s). Requests will be reviewed as time permits. It is recommended to provide at least one weeks notice.
Program Construction Manager will confirm or deny access request. Construction site conditions can change hourly depending on activities and weather. The Program Construction Manager has the ultimate authority for providing site access.

All personnel MUST sign in at the main construction management office, located south of the tennis courts, prior to entering a construction site.

All personnel MUST wear personal safety protection items as directed by the Program Construction Manager or designee.

All personnel MUST adhere to all directions given by the Program Construction Manager or designee.

All personnel MUST sign out at the main construction management office after leaving a construction site.
AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL MUST WEAR REQUIRED PERSONAL SAFETY PROTECTION.
District personnel must wear personal safety protection equipment on a construction site as directed by the Program Construction Manager. Personal safety protection equipment may include but is not limited to hard hat, safety glasses, boots and safety vest.
DISTRICT PERSONNEL MAY NOT GIVE DIRECTION TO CONTRACTORS.
All information and direction from the district regarding any aspect of a project is done by the Director of Facilities Planning & Campus Development. Casual conversations with contractor personnel can lead to unauthorized work, materials and/or construction methods that the District will be liable for.
These procedures will be enforced to ensure the safety of every individual on a construction site.
District personnel who violate these procedures will receive a written violation from the Program Construction Managers’ office and are subject to disciplinary action by the district. Written violations will be submitted to Human Resources and Facilities Planning & Campus Development.
