Campus to be closed Dec. 23-Jan. 3

Students and members of the public will not be allowed on Antelope Valley College’s Lancaster campus Dec. 23-Jan. 3 to enable construction crews to install a campus high voltage electrical system.

Due to safety concerns related to the work and resulting shutdown of electricity on campus, the campus will be closed. Only those with prior approval from college officials will be allowed on campus during the college’s winter break when classes are not in session and offices are typically closed.

In addition, students and others planning to be on campus the day after winter break on Jan. 4, 2010 should dress warmly as some campus buildings may be cold. Jan. 4 marks the start of winter intersession at the campus.
