AVC to host university and college representatives

Students wanting to continue their education at a college, university or technical school will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from approximately 30 public and private institutions when Antelope Valley College hosts its annual Transfer Day 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23.

The event will be held outdoors between the Library and Gymnasium at the Lancaster campus, 3041 W. Ave. K.

Transfer Day is open to anyone interested in learning about educational opportunities.

Representatives are expected from the University of California campuses at Davis, Los Angeles, San Diego and Santa Barbara.

California State University campuses represented will include Bakersfield, East Bay, Fresno, Humboldt, Northridge, San Bernardino and San Marcos.

Other schools expected are Bellevue University, Cal Lutheran, Chapman University, DeVry, Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Fresno Pacific, Holy Names, La Sierra, Milwaukee School of Engineering, National University, Pepperdine, Point Loma Nazarene, San Diego Christian, The Master’s College, University of LaVerne and University of Southern California.
