Online medical transcription course to be offered

Anyone interested in pursuing a career in medical transcription is encouraged to attend a free orientation Sept. 9 for an online medical transcription course to be offered by Antelope Valley College’s Corporate and Community Services Office.

Orientations will be held 1-3 p.m. at the college’s Palmdale Center, 1529 E. Palmdale Blvd., Room SV3G, and 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Lancaster campus, 3041 W. Ave. K, Room LS2 135.

The 640-hour online medical transcription course – offered in conjunction with Career Step -- will prepare men and women to become certified medical transcriptionists. Seating will be limited. People may register for the orientation by calling (661) 722-6300, ext. 6584.
