First class of radiologic technology students ready for jobs

The first class of graduates from Antelope Valley College’s Radiologic Technology Program will be presented pins 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11 in the Board Room, SSV 151, 3041 W. Ave. K, Lancaster.

The program was started in January 2009 after medical providers reported a shortage of technicians. AVC launched the program with funding help from a state grant, Antelope Valley Hospital and Lancaster Community Hospital.

Those completing the program are: Jennifer Blandino, Jessica Brown, Abosede Mopelola Coker, David J. Elzinga, Erin Hayes, Kim Jones and Amor Leano.
