Short-term classes added at AVC’s Palmdale Center

Several short-term classes beginning the week of April 12 have been added at Antelope Valley College’s Palmdale Center, 1529 E. Palmdale Blvd.

The classes include administration of justice, math, political science and sociology. All but the administration of justice course are hybrid courses taught primarily online with at least one meeting at the Palmdale Center.

“Criminal Evidence,” AJ 103, will be held 2-5:05 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning April 13. The course, taught by Eugene Siegel will cover various aspects of the legal basis of evidence, including admissibility in court.

Online hybrid courses include “Prealgebra,” Math 60; “Elementary Algebra,” Math 70; “Intermediate Algebra,” Math 102; two sections of  “American Political Institutions,” Political Science 101, and “Introduction to Sociology,” Sociology 101.

Students can register for the courses online through www.avc.edu. A Board of Governors (BOG) fee waiver is available to eligible students.

Also, students can obtain information online for summer term courses that begin in June.
