Owners, prospective owners of rental properties offered advice

The fundamentals of purchasing and managing rental properties will be covered in a three-hour course to be taught through Antelope Valley College’s Corporate and Community Services Office 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25.

“How to Profitable Manage Rental Properties” will guide people through the evaluation of properties for purchase, preparation of properties for the leasing market, rental of properties, rental collection, enforcement of penalties and evictions. Pat Larkin will lead the course.

Also, the seminar will cover how to effectively work with homeowner associations, difficult tenants and challenging property owners.

Cost of the workshop is $25, plus a $30 material fee payable at class.
