Notary public training and exam offered at AVC

People interested in working as notary publics can learn how to perform the job and prepare for a required state exam through a one-day “Notary Public Workshop” offered through Antelope Valley College’s Corporate and Community Services Office at 8 a.m Saturday, Feb. 26.

The course will be held in room LS2 151 at the Lancaster campus, 3041 W. Ave. K.

Betty Bosley will lead the six-hour workshop, which will be followed by a two-hour state examination to become a notary public.

The workshop fee is $70, plus a $45 material fee payable at the class. Students must also have a check or money order for $40 payable to the Secretary of State, as well as valid identification and a two-inch-square passport photo.

Students are advised to bring a sack lunch.

Students may register online at http://www.avc.edu/academics/ccs/ or contact the Corporate and Community Services Office at (661) 722-6300, ext. 6584.
