Lawyer to discuss separation of church and state

Constitutional lawyer Eddie Tabash will discuss “Is There Separation of Church and State in America” 6-9 p.m. Jan. 13 in the Antelope Valley College Board Room, SSV 151, 3041 W. Ave. K, Lancaster.

The presentation, which is sponsored by the college’s staff development program, is free and open to the public.

Tabash has filed numerous amicus briefs with both the United States and California supreme courts urging that government and religion be kept apart. Tabash chairs the national legal committee of Americans United for Separation of Church and State and the First Amendment Task Force of the Council for Secular Humanism. Also, he is a member of American Atheists.

Tabash is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles. He earned his law degree from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles.
