Respiratory care practitioners get pins

The fourth class of respiratory therapists from Antelope Valley College received their pins during a 1:30 p.m. ceremony today at the college’s Lancaster campus.

The 14 students awarded pins were Syeda Ali, Marcie Atler, Gabriela Briseno, Heather Danforth, Fati Djibo, Maria Gonzalez, Tiffanie Gutierrez, Maureen Guzman, Michael Mariano, Julio Martinez, Noah Tamanaha, Peou Tauch, Nicole Tesseneer and Luz Vazquez.

The Respiratory Therapy Program was started at AVC in response to needs expressed within the health care community. The first class graduated in 2008.
