Work of six East Coast and West Coast artists to be featured in gallery

Works by six artists will be featured in the “Image and Word” exhibition in the Antelope Valley College Art Gallery, March 16-April 22.

The show will feature Phillip Buntin and Joe Immen of Ohio, Boston’s Marina Pinsky, and Southern California artists Adele Mills, Larissa Nickel and Adeline Wysong. The work by the artists reflects a diversity of media including Buntin’s multi-layered and complex oil and acrylic paintings; distinctive lettering, logos, illustration and print design by Immen, and Pinsky’s photography.

The gallery is located on the college’s Lancaster campus in the Fine Arts Building, FA1, 3041 W. Ave. K. Admission is free. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, noon-9 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.

An opening reception featuring an artist talk by Nickel and Wysong will be held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 23.
