AVC to host university and college representatives

Students wanting to continue their education at a college, university or technical school will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from 25 public and private institutions when Antelope Valley College hosts its annual Transfer Day 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 15.

The event will be held outdoors at the Fine Arts Quad of the Lancaster campus, 3041 W. Ave. K.

Transfer Day is open to anyone interested in learning about educational opportunities.

Representatives are expected from the University of California campuses at Davis, Los Angles, Merced, San Diego and Santa Barbara.

California State University campuses represented will include Bakersfield, Humboldt, Northridge, Sacramento and San Bernardino.

Other schools expected to send representatives are Academy of Art University, Azusa Pacific Univeristy, Brandman University, Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science, Colorado State University, DeVry University, Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, Fresno Pacific University, La Sierra University, National University, New School of Architecture and Design, Pacific Oaks College, San Diego Christian College, University of Alaska, Fairbanks and University of La Verne.
