Valley's largest job fair set for April 11

Please note the job fair has been moved to the Cafeteria due to the likelihood of rain.

Job seekers are encouraged to attend the Antelope Valley’s largest job fair 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11 as Antelope Valley College conducts the Spring 2012 Career Information and Job Fair, sponsored by Aerotech News and Review, in the Cafeteria of the Lancaster campus, 3041 W. Ave. K.

The fair, hosted by the college Job Placement Center with support from Aerotech News and Review, typically attracts more than 1,000 job seekers and dozens of employers.

More than 30 companies and organizations have confirmed attendance at this year’s event including Antelope Valley Regional Occupational Programs, Aflac, Antelope Valley Worksource Center, Antelope Valley Notary, Brandman University, California National Guard, California State University, Bakersfield-Antelope Valley, California Highway Patrol, City of Lancaster, Domino’s Pizza, Employment Development Department.

Goodwill Industries, IAP Worldwide Services Inc., Legal Shield, Los Angeles County Registrar Recorder/County Clerk, Los Angeles County Fire Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles County Office of Education, NASA/Dryden Flight Research Center, Nonappropriated Fund, Palmdale School District, Pepsi Beverage Company, Provision Rx, Radio Shack, Scaled Composites, Social Security Administration, South Valley Worksource.
