    The 60th anniversary of Mach 2 flight will be celebrated at Antelope Valley College on Wednesday, November 20, 2013. Dr. Richard P. Hallion, Senior Adviser for Air and Space Issues, Directorate for Security, Counterintelligence and Special Programs Oversight at the Pentagon, Washington, D.C., will give a presentation entitled, “Rocketing through Mach 2”, at 7 p.m. in room HS 201 of the Health and Sciences Building.

    Antelope Valley College Language Arts Professor Charles Hood will speak at Cambridge University, England, on Wednesday, November 6. He has been invited to address faculty, graduate students, and library staff at the Scott Polar Research Institute. The event is also open to the public.
  • Charles Hood Announced as a Fellow at the Center for Art + Environment

    The Center for Art + Environment (CA+E) at the Nevada Museum of Art annually names a limited number of research fellows for two-year appointments. Antelope Valley College English professor Charles Hood was one of the fellows named. The fellowships are not open for application, but are awarded by the Center in recognition of existing or proposed projects that can contribute unique and new understanding of how humans creatively interact with their natural, built, and virtual environments.
