A Night at the Improv performs in Performing Arts Theatre at AVC

Antelope Valley College’s Theatre Arts Department will present a night of comedy with the AVC Improv Players at 7 p.m. Monday, May 20 in the AVC Performing Arts Theatre.  Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the Performing Arts Theatre Box Office Wednesdays through Saturdays 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., or before the performance.

The quick wit and creative imagination of the actors – with suggestions from audience members – creates off-the-cuff comedy that can leave everyone in the house laughing.

The AVC Improv Players are students from AVC’s Improv class, THA 130.

Director Rick Hernandez, an adjunct instructor and former AVC student, has taught improvisation and drama for 19 years at Paraclete High School.  He was trained at The Groundlings Theatre in Hollywood, and is a former stand-up comedian with the comedy team Rice & Bean.
