Constitution Day Essay Contest Award

On Tuesday, September 17, Aaron Green became the first recipient of the Constitution Day Essay contest, receiving $100 from President Ed Knudson. Dr. Matthew Jaffe and Ken Shafer attended the presentation for his essay on the topic:

"Which of the 27 amendments to the Constitution is most important to current American society as a whole. Construct an essay that presents your argument in favor of the amendment you choose."

Aaron chose the First Amendment in his award-winning essay. The essays were evaluated by AVC professors Ken Shafer, Dr. Matthew Jaffe, John Vento, and Dr. Nancy Bednar. Constitution Day will continue to be an annual AVC celebration.
