The Johnny "Cadillac" Peak Memorial Scholarship Show

Friends, family and the community will come together on Saturday, February 8, for a benefit concert at the Lancaster Moose Lodge to honor the memory of Antelope Valley College alumnus and local music scene personality, Johnny “Cadillac” Peak, who passed away in June 2013.

John Peak

In honor of John’s life and his love of music, funds are being raised to create a scholarship at Antelope Valley College. The goal is to raise $10,000 in order to establish an endowed scholarship that will be awarded to a music student every year in perpetuity. $5,000 has been raised so far toward that goal. It is anticipated that the remaining amount will be raised at this concert. This will be the first music scholarship offered at the campus through the AVC Foundation.

Doors for the show open at 4 p.m. Presale general admission, all ages, is $5, admission at the door is $7. Groups scheduled to perform at the show (all friends of John) include:

  • 5:00 - Tom Jester
  • 5:30 - Trail of Beer Cans
  • 6:15 - Joe Esparza (13th Love)
  • 7:00 - Dead Rats
  • 8:00 - The Pin Ups (John’s remaining band)
  • 9:00 - Pat Todd and the Rank Outsiders
  • 10:00 - Gabba Gabba Heys (Ramones Tribute)

The event will also feature several guest artists who knew and/or had performed with John, a pin up contest, a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction.  All proceeds will go to the John Peak Memorial Scholarship Fund.
