Emergency Communication Information

In the event of an emergency, we want you to be aware of the different means Antelope Valley College will use to communicate with employees and the community.

AVC maintains an emergency message extension where employees can obtain recorded information related to campus closures or other emergency situations. The number is (661) 722-6600.

Other ways we will attempt to communicate during emergencies are through the college’s Web site, including messages posted to the Campus Announcements section of myAVC, and area radio stations.

*KNX, 1070 AM is particularly good for Los Angeles area commuters as its signal reaches throughout Southern California. It generally reports college closures related to weather, fires, earthquakes, etc.
