All new students must take the assessment. Exceptions include students who enroll only in courses without English, reading, or math placement requirements. Students who have earned transfer credit in college-level English and math course work are also exempt from taking the assessment. Official copies of all college transcripts must be forwarded to the Admissions and Records Office. Keep in mind that priority registration is directly linked to assessment. Consequently, a student who takes an assessment (or receives an exemption) will receive an earlier registration appointment.
