your values, interests and abilities, and matches them
to appropriate careers on the World-of-Work map. After
you have obtained your Discover results, you can attend
a Discover Interpretation Workshop to gain a better
understanding of you individual results and how the
career planning process works. Please, refer to Upcoming
Workshops to learn more about these valuable sessions
and the dates and times of availability.
Discover is available for use on
the Career Center computers or on any Internet ready
computer. To access the program outside of our office,
simply stop by our center to pick up the necessary access
code (token) and instructions to begin using Discover.
If distance prevents you from utilizing our Discover
career assessment, you may wish to complete the Self
Directed Search, a reliable and valid career assessment.

Once you have completed Discover, you
should discuss your results with a skilled career counselor
who is specifically trained to help you better understand
your results. This workshop is designed to provide you
with a better understanding of your values, interests
and abilities, and how they relate to your career choice.
During the Fall and Spring semesters,
this workshop is usually offered once a week and meets
for 90 minutes. Workshops are sometimes available during
the Intersession and Summer semesters. You only need
to attend the workshop once.
