Counseling: Prerequisite Challenge Information

Prerequisite courses must be successfully completed with a “C” grade or better to satisfy requirements.

Any student that has completed prerequisite coursework from another institution needs to go to the Counseling Center and provide official/unofficial record of successfully completed coursework (“C” or better).

Student will need to obtain counselor approval before registering for a class.

If a student has not completed the prerequisite course with a "C" or better, a Prerequisite Challenge Form can be submitted.

AVC requires that a written explanation be attached to the Prerequisite Challenge form.

Any other pertinent information may also be attached.

The Prerequisite Challenge Form and supporting documentation must be turned into the Counseling Center.
