GRANTS/BOOK GRANTS

(Are only given out if funds are available)

Depending on available dollars, each EOPS/CARE student may be eligible to receive an EOPS/CARE grant/book grant to supplement your federal/state financial aid funding. Your compliance with your Student Responsibility Agreement will determine your eligibility.

Program Monitor Evaluation (PME)

Program Monitor Evaluation (PME) is a program probation system designed to encourage and support students to remain in compliance with all program requirements as stated in the Student Responsibility Contract.  All students who are identified and placed in PME will be notified prior to the start of the semester.  PME students will not be eligible for EOPS/CARE grants during the semester in which they are placed in PME.  Those students will have one semester to correct their status and be removed from PME through compliance with their Student Responsibility Contract.  If a student fails to meet contract compliance they will be placed in PME II the following semester.  Students in PME II are dropped from the program for one semester and have to reapply to return to the program.

Students placed in PME status may be required to meet other criteria to remain in the program.  The criteria will be established to support the student and will come by recommendation of the EOPS/CARE program staff.  No student will be allowed to enter PME II status a second time.
