The Learning Center faculty and professional staff are all active members of the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), a national association concerned with reading, tutoring, and learning assistance. Antelope Valley College's tutor training program is one of a select few tutor training programs in California certified at all three levels by CRLA.

The Learning Center's faculty and professional staff members also actively participate and frequesntly present at our state's Association of California College Tutorial and Learning Assistance (ACCTLA). Some of the Center's outstanding tutors have also participated in state presentations.

Three of the Learning Center's Faculty and professional staff members have participated in Supplemental Instruction (SI) training sponsored by the Center of Supplemental Instruction at University of Missouri at Kansas City.
