Student Activities Council   

The Student Activities Council is a group students who create and plan events on campus.

Here is the list of events for the Fall Semester:

  • Welcome Week - August 25-28th Various times in the Library Plaza
  • Founders Day - September 3rd 11am in the Library Plaza
  • Red Cross Blood Drive - September 9-10th in the Student Lounge
  • Honor the Fallen Heros of 9/11 - September 11th 11am TBA
  • Hispanic Hertiage Celebration - September 16th TBA
  • Constitution Day - September 17th TBA
  • Health Fair/Prostate Cancer/AIDS Awareness - September 18th 9-3pm in the Library Plaza
  • AV Hospital Blood Drive - September 23rd 9-3pm by SC 1
  • Abuse Prevention Day - October 1st TBA
  • Mens BBQ - October 7th TBA
  • Coming Out Day - October 9th TBA
  • Breast Cancer Awareness - October 14th TBA
  • Homecoming Week - October 20-25th TBA
  • Day of the Dead - October 27-31st in Bookstore Hallway
  • Halloween - October 30th TBA
  • Red Cross Blood Drive - October 30th 9-3pm by SC 1
  • Food and Clothing Drive - November 3-20th TBA
  • Veterans Day - November 10th TBA
  • Native American Celebration - November 18th TBA
  • Community Day - November 20th TBA
  • Red Cross Blood Drive - November 25th 9-3pm in the Student Lounge
  • Finals Relaxation - December 4th 11-2pm in the Student Lounge
  • Holiday Party - December 12th TBA

In order to make events their best, the council depends on volunteers and ideas from the student body. Volunteers that demonstrate good leadership skills may eventually be promoted to a paid position in the office.
