Antelope Valley College students are invited to take a break and recharge during a special “Puppies and Pizza” event on Monday, May 4, in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month.
The event will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Fine Arts Quad and offers students a chance to relax, connect and enjoy the calming benefits of pet-assisted therapy.
Students can stop by at any time, no registration is required, to spend time with certified therapy dogs, enjoy a slice of pizza (while supplies last) and take a moment to reset during the semester.
Therapy dogs have been shown to help reduce stress, lower anxiety and boost overall mood. Paired with a quick bite to eat, the event highlights the importance of caring for both mental and physical well-being.
Whether you stay for a few minutes or the full event, students are encouraged to drop in, unwind and take advantage of this simple opportunity to support their health.
