Antelope Valley College students interested in transferring to the University of California, Santa Barbara are invited to attend a transfer preparation event on April 30 featuring a Personal Insight Questions (PIQ) workshop and one-on-one advising with a UCSB admissions representative. 

The PIQ workshop will focus on helping students strengthen one of the most important components of the UC application. Participants will learn how to craft authentic and compelling responses, understand what UC application readers look for and effectively highlight their academic and personal experiences.

Following the workshop, students will have the opportunity to meet individually with the UCSB representative during scheduled advising appointments. These one-on-one sessions allow students to review their transfer plans, ask questions about admissions requirements, scholarships, campus life and gain personalized guidance on transferring to UCSB.

Students must register separately for both the workshop and the individual advising appointments.
