Join us for an inspiring and hands-on session led by a former AVC student who began her journey here, earning her associate’s degree before transferring to CSUN to complete both her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Communicative Disorders and Sciences. Now a practicing Medical Speech-Language Pathologist, she will lead a live demonstration featuring clinical tools like a spirometer and speaking valve. Attendees will also have the opportunity to safely sample thickened liquids—gaining firsthand insight into common patient experiences.
This interactive presentation bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world healthcare, while highlighting the remarkable career path of an AVC alum.
