ITS Inventory Utility

What Information are we collecting and why is it important:

This utility is not only collecting Building Location and Room Number. It picks up very important hardware information such as processor speed, amount of RAM, Computer Model and Serial Number, Monitor Model and Serial Number so we can forecast how many systems need to be upgraded and we can prioritize system refreshes based on need. We are not collecting any information other than system hardware information. We appreciate your support very much. Here is what to expect when you use the utility.


A shortcut has been placed on your Desktop that looks like this:

When you double-click on the shortcut icon, you will see a black screen pop-up that will ask you to input your building code (if the program does not automatically recognize your building based on your IP Address). See below for a list of building codes if needed.

If the program does recognize your location, it will just ask for you to enter your Room Number. Please enter requested information and press enter.

After entering your Room Number and pressing Enter, you will get a Thank You Message and a notification that we will need to come out at a later date, but you will be notified at least 2 weeks in advance.

In addition to running the ITS Inventory Utility, we will be going building to building doing a physical computer inventory and recording asset tag #’s from your computers and monitors. Here is the planned inventory schedule. If you should require any accommodation to this schedule or know of a reason why your building inventory date should be moved, please contact the ITS Project Manager.

Computer Inventory Schedule
1/29/24 – Begin inventory of buildings (AL, BBS, CDC, DL, EL, FA1-4, FS).
2/5/24 - Begin inventory of buildings (GYM, L, HUB, LH, MC1-6, ME, MS1-2).
2/12/24 - Begin inventory of buildings (MH, NCP, OF2, PA, RW, SBS, SCT, SH).
2/19/24 - Begin inventory of buildings (SSV, T100-700, TE1, TE4).
2/26/24 - Begin inventory of buildings (UH, UH001, YH, APL).
3/4/24 – Begin inventory of Fox Field.
