Antelope Valley College invites incoming and current students interested in transferring to a four-year university to attend an upcoming Puente Program information session.
The Puente Program is a cohort-based program that supports students through academic counseling, mentorship, writing instruction, and community engagement. Students in the program take classes together, receive dedicated support from counselors and faculty, and build connections with peers pursuing similar educational goals.
The information sessions will provide an overview of the program, eligibility requirements, and the process of signing up for the upcoming cohort. Enrollment is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The program is open to all incoming and current AVC students who can take ENGL C1000, HD 101, and Math (dependent on major).
Puente offers a strong sense of community, connecting students with professors, counselors and mentors who are committed to their success.
