Apply for California Dream Act

If you are not a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen and qualify or AB 540 status.

Step 1: Go to dream.csac.ca.gov

Step 2: Create a Dream Act ID (login if you previously created one)

Step 3: School Code for AVC 001113

Step 4: Personal Information Needed:

  • ITIN number
  • SSID number
  • Driver License (if applicable)
  • Federal tax information or tax returns including W-2
  • Dependent students also need their parents information

Step 5: Once your application is processed AVC will receive it in 3-7 business days. Once received by the school a confirmation will be sent to your AVC email account informing you of any additional requirements to complete your file.

Step 6: Submit required documents

  • High school diploma
  • Tax documents
  • etc.

Step 7: Login to your myAVC account to view your award
