CalFresh benefits for the month of November will likely be delayed. For AVC students who rely on CalFresh benefits, we understand this is extremely overwhelming and concerning. We want you to know that if an interruption occurs in November, we at AVC are here to help. You can use the Marauder Market in the Basic Needs Center where you can choose from groceries and certain frozen and cold foods. If you have not yet completed an AVC Basic Needs application for this fall semester, please do so on the AVC’s Basic Needs Center page. The Basic Needs Center provides support for food, housing, transportation, clothing, hygiene and more.

The Basic Needs Center also hosts the Produce Pick-Up event twice a month at both the Lancaster Campus and the Palmdale Center where students can access fresh quality food for free. The next event date is November 20. You can also visit lafoodbank.org to search for a food pantry near you.
Remember that Priority Registration for Intersession and Spring semesters began on November 4 and Open Registration begins on November 19. Once you register, you can complete your Basic Needs application.
