Black Wall Street Game Day
Equity & Student Achievement invites students to experience Black Wall Street Game Day, an interactive learning event that blends history, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy through fun, hands-on gameplay. Using the Black Wall Street board game, participants will explore the legacy of Black-owned businesses and the power of community wealth-building in an engaging, competitive environment. Students will collaborate, strategize, and learn while connecting with peers in a welcoming and energetic space. This event is designed to inspire financial confidence, leadership, and cultural awareness through play. Join us for a unique experience that turns education into action.

Black and African American Health Awareness Event
Antelope Valley College will host an informational tabling event highlighting health topics relevant to Black and African American communities.

Student Services Building lobby.
Organized by Student Health Services in partnership with Bartz-Altadonna Community Health Center, Awareness in Action: Black Health Matters is designed to educate students on healthy lifestyle practices while addressing health conditions that disproportionately affect Black and African American individuals.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with health professionals, learn about preventive care and wellness strategies, and access culturally relevant health information and resources. Free giveaways and educational materials will be available.
The event is open to all AVC students. No reservations are required, and walk-ups are welcome.
Flavors of Black Heritage
Flavors of Black Heritage offers a rare opportunity to experience the richness and diversity of Black cultures through both food and education — bringing together global cuisines from Morocco, the U.S., Nigeria, Jamaica, and Ethiopia in one space. More than a tasting event, it’s an interactive cultural experience that highlights history, traditions, and shared roots, creating connection, learning, and celebration in a way that is engaging, inclusive, and memorable for the campus community.
This event is FREE to all AVC students.
