AVC Offers Two Bachelor's Degrees at Fraction of the Cost
Antelope Valley College

Antelope Valley College is redefining what’s possible at a community college by offering the only two bachelor’s degree programs available in the Antelope Valley, providing residents with an affordable, career-focused path to a four-year degree without the need to commute.

AVC's Bachelor of Science in Airframe Manufacturing Technology and Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care allow students to earn a high-value bachelor's degree close to home, at a cost significantly lower than comparable programs at California State Universities or University of California campuses.

The Bachelor of Science in Airframe Manufacturing Technology (AFMT) is one of only a small number of bachelor's degrees offered statewide through a California community college. The program was designed in direct response to workforce demand in the aerospace industry and prepares students for leadership and advanced technical roles in airframe manufacturing.

The Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care (BSRC) provides licensed respiratory care practitioners with a pathway to expand their scope of practice, pursue leadership roles and advance in one of health care's most in-demand fields. The upper-division program emphasizes evidence-based practice, leadership, research and advanced clinical concepts, allowing working professionals to continue their careers while completing their degree.

By offering bachelor's degrees locally, AVC helps students save on tuition, housing and commuting costs while strengthening the region's workforce in high-demand industries.
