Dr. Yoozbashizadeh joined the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at California State University, Long Beach in Fall 2013. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering with the focus on Manufacturing, in 2012, an MS degree in Manufacturing Engineering, in 2009, and an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering Design, in 2007, all from University of Southern California. He also worked as a lecturer and research associate in the field of digital fabrication at USC on a project funded by NSF. He teaches undergraduate and graduate classes in the areas of Design, CAD/CAM, Manufacturing Processes, and Design of Experiments. Dr. Yoozbashizadeh's research focuses on Automation, Additive Manufacturing, 3D-Printing of Metals, Product Development, Design of Experiments, and Process/Product Improvement and Optimization. The last three years working at CSULB, he has conducted four industry funded research projects in the fields of Automation in Aerospace (funded by Boeing), Plasma Treatment of Composite Structures (funded by Northrop Grumman), Sealant Flow Process Control and Optimization (funded by Boeing), and Metal-Ceramic Composite Manufacturing by 3D Printing.
