The Ujima GIRL Project is a week-long STEM program aimed at empowering African American and Black middle and high school girls.
By engaging in hands-on projects that include coding, robotics, video production, and engineering, participants have the opportunity to explore the latest technologies while tackling real-world community and global challenges.
Ujima GIRL Project is recognized as an approved Educational Preparation Program by the University of California (UC) undergraduate admissions. This distinction ensures that the program offers valuable academic and professional preparation for those interested in pursuing college and careers in STEM fields.
The Ujima GIRL Project is a unique opportunity for young women to develop technical expertise, find inspiration, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging in the world of science and technology.
Register by May 26. Acceptance notifications will begin May 28, 2025.
The program will run:

9th-12th graders: Monday, June 9th - June 13th at 9am-4:30pm.

(6th-8th graders) Monday, June 23rd- Friday June 27th at 9am - 4:30pm.
Location will be sent to those who are accepted.
