What is ISP/AVC CARES?
ISP/AVC Cares Committee
The ISP/AVC Cares Committee provides additional support for AVC students who feel overwhelmed or may be thinking about suicide. The Interactive Screening Program (ISP) aims to reach students early before a crisis occurs through proactive, confidential outreach.
The committee works to create a supportive campus environment by sharing positive messages, hosting listening events, reducing stigma around mental health and suicide, and offering ongoing student support.
For questions or to connect with a committee member, contact Student Health Services at (661) 722-6300 x6683 or studenthealth@avc.edu

How it works (3 simple steps):
-
Complete the 10-minute questionnaire using a User ID you create.
-
An AVC professional will post a private response with information and recommendations.
-
You choose what to do next—continue the conversation online, speak by phone, or take no further steps.
