Umoja

Umoja is a learning community dedicated to the academic success, personal growth, and self-actualization of African Americans and other students.  All Umoja values and practices are inspired by African and African-American intellectual, cultural, and spiritual gifts.

A2MEND

A2MEND meets weekly to promote the enhancement of enrollment, success, empowerment, leadership, networking, professionalism, and graduation of individuals among African American, Latino, and other male students at Antelope Valley College.

Puente

A transfer-prep learning community that aims to increase the number of students who enroll in four-year colleges and universities, earn college degrees, and return to the community as mentors and leaders for future generations.  Puente students have access to priority registration, guaranteed seats in all Puente courses, curriculum focused on Latino/a/x literature and culture, transfer guidance, professional mentorship, community engagement, 1-on-1 academic, personal, and career counseling, cultural events & activities, university field trips, and statewide leadership conference.

Student Clubs

All registered students are eligible for membership in the clubs and organizations of their choice. Students are encouraged to form additional clubs and organizations to meet special needs or interests.
