The Antelope Valley College Theatre Arts Department is now accepting submissions for its One-Act Play Festival. 

Students and local playwrights are invited to submit 5-15-minute scripts centered on the themes of Influence and/or Redemption by the August 1 deadline. 

Submission can be emailed to Carla Corona with the subject line “AVC Script Submission Fall 2025.” Please include playwright name and contact information, script summary, and character descriptions within email. Two plays per playwright may be submitted. 

Please attach scripts to the submission email, ensuring they follow these guidelines: 

• Focus on themes of Influence and/or Redemption. 

• Provide a play summary. 

• Be 5-15 minutes in length. 

• Include character descriptions for all main characters. 

• Use standard play format with page numbers. 

A panel of faculty and theatre professionals will review the scripts and select plays for performance.
